Serie A Top Scorer Outright Prediction: Lautaro Martinez favorite, little chance for the competition

If Inter is running away in the Serie A standings, the same thing is happening in the top scorers’ table, where it is the Nerazzurro Lautaro Martinez himself who occupies the first position alone. But with 13 rounds still on the calendar, anything can happen. Even if, compared to previous seasons, the life of goalscorers seems to have become harder and less profitable.

In the top 10 of this season’s best scorers, it is in fact only Inter’s Argentine striker who is in double figures, with 14 goals scored in 25 league matches. To find the first Italian, you have to go down to thirteenth position, where the pair Kean – Orsolini is found.

Top scorers standings, the situation today

In his eighth season at Inter, Lautaro Martinez is alone at the top of the Serie A scoring charts. The Argentine has so far scored 14 goals in the league, five of which were in matches played in 2026 alone. However, his performance has been inconsistent with only one brace, which came against Pisa in November, and with a streak of at most two consecutive matches ending with at least one goal.

Behind him is a large group of pursuers at 8 goals. From the surprise pair Nico Paz – Douvikas of Como, to Pulisic, Hojlund and Yildiz. The young Argentine former Real Madrid player of Como has already surpassed the 6 goals scored last season, but has scored only one goal in the last 5 rounds. A figure similar to that of his teammate Douvikas, who scored in only 2 matches of 2026 but always with a brace. Continuous injuries are not helping Milan’s Pulisic, who has been without a goal since late December and is also penalized by new additions to Milan’s attack.

After a positive debut, scoring immediately against Fiorentina and with 4 consecutive matches scoring between national team and club, Hojlund’s season has also experienced numerous difficulties. For example, the 7 consecutive matches in January closed without being able to score weigh heavily, with his ranking saved only by the recent brace scored at Genoa. Only one goal in the last 5 rounds also for Juventus’ Turkish prospect. Yildiz, however, compared to the competition, pays for a deeper position and not being the final target of the play. Like Hojlund, the Bianconero has also scored only one goal in 5 rounds.

Behind the leaders, there is no shortage of interesting names. This is the case for Krstovic, whose move from Lecce to Atalanta represents an important help in climbing the scoring charts. The same number of goals, seven, for Davis of Udinese and for the likes of Thuram and Calhanoglu. Strikers are protagonists again, also at 7 goals, with Kean and Leao, limited this season by their teams’ difficulties or health problems.

At 6 goals is also the first scorer for Roma, with the Argentine Soule, while one must go down much further to find Lazio. Represented by the 3 goals from Cataldi, Isaksen and Pedro. However, the most interesting post-market data comes from Roma, with the Dutchman Malen clearly on the rise with 5 goals, four of which were consecutive thanks to braces against Cagliari and Napoli.

Serie A top scorer winner: the favorites

Despite several rounds still remaining until the end of the season, Lautaro Martinez manages to create a gap behind him in the scoring chart odds. The Argentine is therefore the super favorite, driven also by Inter’s good form and by having already scored more than he did last season. At the end of last season, Martinez had in fact stopped at 12 goals along with McTominay and Dovbyk.

Behind the Argentine, Pulisic and Hojlund break away from the competition, still reaching double figures. However, the Rossonero has to deal with both injuries and internal competition that has grown with the arrival of Fullkrug and the growth of Nkunku. Less crowding for Hojlund, who should therefore be favored over Pulisic in this regard.

Few chances for all the other competitors in this race with many names, starting with Paz, who at the moment only find space in the “others” category for almost all bookmakers.

Let’s see in detail.

The Serie A top scorer winning prediction: Martinez ahead of everyone

Lautaro Martinez seems to have pulled away, and the gap with the pursuers does not tend to decrease. On paper, the number of rounds available could still be sufficient to overturn the situation, offering concrete possibilities to the likes of Hojlund and Paz. But compared to previous seasons, it is the overall number of goals scored, at the same point in the season, that is declining dropping from 638 to 610. Martinez’s lead is also lower, given that in the last championship Retegui was at 16 with Leao at 13 and Dovbyk at 11.

It is unlikely that there will be concrete surprises, even if the pace appears decidedly slow. It has been since 1991, with Gianluca Vialli, that the standings have not been won with fewer than
