Here too, there is no single answer. It is clear that much depends on which and how many bonuses are applied. In the first example above, it might be worth investing in the defense and playing with 4 defenders, because with an average of 6.25 (i.e., with two 6s and two 6.5s) you would get 2 points.

Logically, in a fantasy football league with a global score ranking (i.e., the sum of each matchday’s score), even getting an average of 1 extra point per matchday thanks to the defense can be very useful in the long run.

Which defenders to buy to play with the defense modifier?

If you are not completely new to fantasy football, you will already know that there are two categories of defenders whose cost is very high and for which an important auction often breaks out:

• Attacking full-backs
• Center-backs with a knack for scoring
