Italian Poker Challenge, the Main Event
Without beating around the bush, the Main Event is obviously the tournament of the gaming week, on which the spotlight of players, media, and simple enthusiasts will be focused.
The guarantee proposed by PokerStars Poker, by the Casino di Campione and by Luca Pagano’s staff, is equal to €700.000, but the real novelty of this stage is the possibility of choosing the opening flight which, for the first time for the IPC, can be played with a registration cost that is not the same for all Day 1s.
The opening day, in fact, is marked by the “Special Price“, a reduced buy-in compared to the standard €770, which will allow those who want to play on March 18, to take part in the tournament with an expense of 500 Euros.
There will be a total of 6 opening flights, not all identical, therefore, in relation to the Buy In, but also for the proposed duration of the levels.
All the dates of the opening flights
It starts on March 18 with the Day 1A Special Price at 19:00, the only flight played on that day, while for the next two, it doubles with two Days to be played on the 19th and 20th.
Thursday, March 19, starts in the early afternoon, at 15:00, with Day 1B, followed a few hours later by the start of Day 1C scheduled for 21:00 in Fast mode.
Same grid for Friday, March 20, with Day 1D at 15:00 and Day 1E Fast at 21:00.

The last chance to take part in the Day 1s is for the latecomers, who will face a turbo structure, that of Day 1F scheduled for Saturday at 13:00.
It will be necessary to close this flight by 17:00, as that will be the start time of Day 2, at the end of which we will know the number and names of the players who will be able to participate in the distribution of the best prizes.

The structure of the Main Event
In relation to the structure of the opening days, however, each flight has a different structure depending on its placement and the Buy In with which it is proposed.
By structure we do not mean the progression of Small, Big Blind and Ante which must obviously be the same for all initial days, but the duration of the levels.
Starting from Day 2, the levels will in fact have a duration of 60 minutes each until the proclamation of the winner which will take place on the evening of March 23.
All Day 1s will in fact be formed by 14 segments each, but with different durations:
