From the end of March 2026, as revealed by Boyd CEO Keith Smith, southern Nevada will have a new gambling house. In just over a month, the Cadence Crossing Casino by Boyd Gaming in Henderson is scheduled to open.
Boyd Gaming is a multinational company based in Las Vegas, a leader in the southern Nevada local casino market and owner of the famous Station Casinos. This company manages 28 casinos in 10 US states, including 10 gaming halls in its hometown, and is a supplier of casino games (slots, etc.).
The Cadence Crossing Casino is being built to replace the Jokers Wild along Boulder Highway in Henderson, southeast of the Las Vegas Strip. Construction work on the facility began on April 3, 2025, and after a few months, it is now almost complete.

During the latest conference call on Boyd Gaming‘s financial results, CEO Keith Smith revealed that the new Cadence Crossing Casino will open at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
Company executives have not disclosed the costs for the design and construction of the Cadence Crossing Casino. However, CFO Josh Hirsberg stated $75 million in capital investments for projects dedicated to this 4,600-square-meter facility and the Par-A-Dice.
The Cadence Crossing Casino is a facility that, at least initially, will consist of 450 slot machines and video poker. Later, once the current Jokers Wild Casino is demolished, it is expected to expand its gaming space and include a four-story hotel with 114 rooms.
Boyd Gaming hopes that the Cadence Crossing Casinò will become a new and powerful tourist attraction for the community.

Keith Smith revealed to investors and analysts that the Cadence Crossing Casino is arriving at the most opportune moment, as Henderson is experiencing a real estate boom.
Boyd‘s CEO explained that the residential community of the Cadence neighborhood has seen rapid growth, selling over 1,200 new homes in 2025. This is the third-highest number recorded last year among all master-planned communities in the United States.

Not just Cadence Crossing Casino: Boyd’s other investments for 2026
The Cadence Crossing Casino in Henderson is one of many investments being developed in 2026 by Boyd Gaming. The company is also managing other projects away from Las Vegas.
Boyd Gaming is, for example, leading the construction of a $750 million resort in Norfolk, Virginia. This investment stems from a partnership with the Pamunkey Indian tribe and is not the only one in this state.
Last November, Boyd Gaming opened a temporary casino also in Norfolk. In addition to this, the company is undertaking the redevelopment of its Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in Illinois.
Furthermore, in 2027, Boyd Gaming is expected to open another facility in a yet-to-be-disclosed location. What we know is that it will include a 200-room hotel resort and a commercial casino with 1,500 slot machines, 50 gaming tables, and a sports betting area.
