Prediction and betting Inter-Bodo Glimt: Chivu on the attack without Lautaro. Over written?

Inter-Bodo Glimt will be the return leg of the double-header valid for the playoff play-offs that will serve to designate the 8 teams that will play the quarter-final matches against the sides already qualified at the end of the League Phase.

It was not a very lucky away trip, the one Inter endured in Norway, at Bodo’s home, where they emerged defeated from a freezing and synthetic pitch, on which, in addition to the negative result of 3-1, there was also the injury to Lautaro Martinez who will have to be out for at least three weeks.

The match will be played at San Siro on the evening of Tuesday, February 24 at 21:00 and, from little more than a formality as it might have seemed at the start, qualification has now suddenly become difficult to achieve.

Inter-Bodo Glimt: more than just a play-off

To talk about such an important match for the Nerazzurri’s season, one cannot fail to take into account that the central theme is the idea that the Italian and international public has of the value of our teams.

Unfortunately for the “poor” Serie A, it is necessary to realize that the golden days are basically over and when talking about an “easy away trip” in nations where football was traditionally a conquest ground for our teams, one is very much mistaken.

Perhaps the double stinging exclusion from the last two editions of the World Cup and the specter looming over qualification for next summer’s edition have not yet been enough to understand that the situation of our football is unprecedented.

Thuram, Inter

Inter, which should be the most representative team on the continental stage, was the team on which one could bet some chips with a certain peace of mind, but Bodo proved to be much more capable and tough than expected.

The return leg will still be one of those great occasions that will bring millions of Italians and, above all, Nerazzurri fans in front of the screen, with the spectacle of the San Siro crowd hoping for a comeback that would awaken even the most skeptical from their torpor; the problem is that it would still be a pill that would do little to help the “great patient”, and a possible Nerazzurri feat should be the springboard to work for the future, rather than to rejoice for a round of 16 achieved with difficulty.

The prediction for Inter-Bodo

The analysis of the match passes above all through Inter’s need to put aside all tactical maneuvers and throw their heart over the obstacle, as they used to say, regardless of the technical gap between the two teams which, at least looking at the value of the two squads, leans decisively in favor of Inter.

Chivu has the problem of replacing Lautaro Martinez who will be out for at least all of February and the first ten days of March, but this is a problem that will most likely be solved by using Marcus Thuram paired with Pio Esposito, the latter having risen in the team hierarchy, so much so that he has overtaken the Frenchman himself with high-level performances.

Two-fifths of the Nerazzurri’s starting midfield who have been missed quite a bit in recent weeks, Calhanoglu and Barella, should be in the match, while it will be better not to rush the recovery of another starter, Dumfries who has nonetheless returned to training with the group.

For the first leg we had predicted, in our opinion easy prophets, at least one goal for each side, relating the difficulties surrounding Inter’s match and the ease of scoring by the Nerazzurri.

Lautaro’s absence undoubtedly weakens this theory, but the presence among the starters of Dimarco, Calhanoglu and Barella (the latter two will not be in Lecce due to suspension in the league), can be decisive so that Inter can score at least three goals during the match, for an Over 3,5 at a very appetizing odd.

Probable lineups

We have talked at length about Chivu’s problems and the lineup, further injuries permitting, is fairly set.

It will most likely also be the one Knutsen has in mind, oriented towards fielding the same eleven that surprised Inter in the first leg.

Inter 3-5-2: Sommer; Bisseck, Akanji, Bastoni; Luis Enrique, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Thuram, Esposito Coach Chivu

The final outcome of the match

Regarding, instead, the final outcome of the Inter-Bodo match, the final victory of the Nerazzurri is paid even less than the odds we provided for the match in Norway, but this time in favor of Chivu’s team, those dynamics to which we had referred then are missing
