Roma, what an impact for Malen: the buy-out seems a given

Roma has found the perfect striker for Gasperini, and Donyell Malen has found a club that believes in him. It was precisely the strong desire to make him the centerpiece of the project that allowed the Giallorossi club to beat the competition from other teams and secure the Dutchman.

Pressure is just a stimulus for Malen, who has always started since his arrival in the capital and has scored 5 goals in 5 games. An extraordinary performance, the result of a chemistry with the Giallorossi team that has been evident from the first minutes.

Donyell Malen is therefore speeding towards a buy-out that now seems like a mere formality. Gasperini has spoken highly of the Dutchman, and his impact in Serie A is overwhelming.

After scoring against Torino on his debut, Malen didn’t find the net against Milan and Udinese (but came very close). The former Aston Villa player then decided to step up his game and score two consecutive braces, against Cagliari and Napoli.

Roma, the conditions to be met for Malen’s buy-out

Since Malen has been wearing the Roma shirt, he has scored 71.4% of the team’s total goals (5 out of 7). The Dutchman could not play in the two Europa League matches as he was ineligible by regulation, but he has quickly established himself in Serie A.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Roma expected this performance and offered a central role to Malen. This convinced the Dutchman to prefer the Giallorossi club over other offers (Napoli and Bundesliga clubs).

The confidence in the player stems from his role on the field, but also from the agreement reached with Aston Villa. Donyell Malen arrives at Roma on loan with an option to buy (necessary to stay within market regulations), which becomes an obligation upon the fulfillment of certain conditions. But what are they?

However, Roma would like to purchase the player permanently, regardless of achieving the objectives. The figure is already set: in addition to the 2 million for the loan, another 25 million needs to be paid to Aston Villa (who retain 10% of any future resale) to buy out Malen.
