Day 1B and Day 1C of the ISOP Campione Main Event were played yesterday, with many fun hands and more qualifiers for Day 2. Among the protagonists is Danilo Donnini, winner of a peculiar and spectacular hand against Marco Stella. The Main Event has registered, for the moment, 499 entries and 165 players qualified for Day 2.
The absolute chipleader at Day 2 is Claudio Di Giacomo with 618,000 chips. In Pot Limit Omaha, Schiralli triumphed over Compagno.
ISOP Main Event Campione: Donnini’s crazy hand, he’s among the best of Day 1B
Friday of Stage 3 ISOP Campione began with Day 1B of the Main Event, with 75 entries and 25 added to the Day 2 qualifiers from previous flights. In addition to leader Di Giacomo, Danilo Donnini is also among the qualifiers, finishing among the very top thanks in large part to a very peculiar hand.
During level number 4, 200/400/400, there was an open to 800 from a player in Under The Gun, 3-bet to 2,200 by Cristian Stella from the button. The action reached the big blind where Danilo Donnini was seated, playing for over 100 bigs, and 4-bet to 5,800. The original raiser folded while Stella called.
The flop came 5-5-8 Rainbow, and everything happened: Donnini made a continuation bet for 5,100, Stella raised to 12,000, Donnini went all-in, and Stella snap-called. At showdown…

The turn k and river k completed the board of an incredible hand, which led to Stella’s elimination. Stella took it with a smile, but fate was ironic: after heading to the cashier to re-enter, Stella discovered that his seat was at the same table, immediately to the right of Donnini himself! ISOP Campione: Schiralli wins the Omaha against Compagno
The €300 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha Event registered 33 entries and the victory of Massimo Schiralli, who defeated Paolo Compagno heads-up, taking home a first prize of €2,640. Compagno, on the other hand, received a prize of €2,200 but more importantly, valuable points for the Omaha standings.

ISOP Campione: today’s schedule, February 14th
At the PokerStars Live Room in Campione, the Stage 3 of the ISOP Season resumes today. It starts at 2 PM with Day 1D of the Main Event, with a €500 buy-in and 40-minute levels. At 3 PM, Event #13, the €200 Mixed Tournament, begins. At 8 PM, Day 1E is scheduled to start, with a discounted buy-in of €400 and 20-minute levels. Finally, at 9 PM, the Saturday Night, a €150 buy-in NLHE with 20-minute levels, is scheduled.
