ISOP Campione Main Event: Swissy and Fabretti like old times, today is day 2

Saturday full of action at the PokerStars Live Room in Campione d’Italia, with Stage 3 of the ISOP Season 2025/26 in full swing. Yesterday saw two flights of the Main Event and other tournaments, featuring both old and new protagonists.

ISOP Main Event: 621 entries and 215 qualifiers, and it’s not over yet

The ISOP Campione Main Event, in this Stage 3, has so far totaled 621 entries and 215 qualifiers for Day 2, which starts today at 1 PM. However, the numbers are not yet final, due to late registration which remains open for the first three levels of the aforementioned Day 2. Here’s how yesterday’s two flights, Day 1D and Day 1E, the latter in turbo mode, went.

Day 1D

On Saturday afternoon, 83 players showed up to celebrate Valentine’s Day at the ISOP tables for this Day 1D of the €500 Main Event. At the end of the eleven scheduled levels, 35 remained with chips in front of them, and notably Angelo Coletta, the chip leader of the day with 331,500 chips.

In the top 10, there are no big names, apart from some solid regulars like Emanuele Pavoni, eighth with 178,000 chips. Here are the details:

Outside the top 10, we note other important names like Francesco Delfoco, qualified with 135,000, but Claudio “Bertinotti” Daffinà will also be in the game, with 109,000 chips. A bit short but still in the running is Giannino “Kart” Salvatore with 60,000.

Day 1E

In the evening, there was also time for Day 1E, offered in turbo mode with 20-minute levels each. 39 players gathered at the tables, and just over half managed to survive, qualifying for today’s Day 2. Leading the pack, and quite clearly, is Frenchman Riss, while the top 10 includes two historic names in Italian poker: Pier Paolo Fabretti and Claudio “Swissy” Rinaldi.

Among others, it’s worth noting the qualification of Barnaba Perone, who will return to Day 2 with a stack of 57,500 chips, just slightly more than the starting stack.

Other ISOP Campione Tournaments

On ISOP Saturday, two other tournaments took place. Simone Fumagalli prevailed over the 16 registered players in the €200 Mixed Tournament, ahead of Massimo Schiralli, who nonetheless confirmed his form after winning the PLO event the previous day.

Finally, Lorenzo Bottinelli‘s success over Carmelo Vasta in the €150 buy-in Saturday Night is worth noting. The most beautiful aspect of this victory is that Lorenzo was playing his very first live tournament, as he told our reporters…

ISOP Campione: Today’s Schedule

At 1 PM, Day 2 of the Main Event begins. Late registration, along with any re-entries, will be possible for the first three levels of the day. Only after then will we have the final numbers for the Main Event of this Stage 3 of the ISOP Season 2026.

At 3:30 PM, the ISOP3 All Stars tournament is scheduled to start, a €1,000 buy-in event with a starting stack of 40,000 chips and 40-minute levels.

In the late afternoon, there will be something for bounty enthusiasts. At 5 PM, Event #18, the ISOP3 Super KO, begins, with a €230 buy-in, of which €100 is reserved for bounties.

Finally, at 9 PM, the classic Sunday Evening tournament starts, a €150 buy-in event with a starting stack of 25,000 chips and 20-minute levels.
